Talk Talk Broadband

I'm a lodger and currently pay for the phone, broadband & line rental. However it looks increasingly likely that I'll be moving overseas. The problem is I have a 12 month contract ending in October, the other lodger seems unwilling to agree to a contract transfer. Is there anything I can do about this or will I have to pay the termination fee?

Don't think TalkTalk will let you transfer a contract anyway.0

Me and my the flatmate don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, there opinion on the matter is they get internet at their communal studio and so won't need it once I leave (that won't stop them using it until then mind). They also made me aware it will cost up to £130 to reconnect the line etc.
I've spoken to Talk Talk this morning who to their credit have let me break the contract for £45.
The contract transfer can be found by searching for "contract transfer talk talk" in google it may be useful to other forum users.0 -
You can change the DD into another person's account, but the original person who signed up remains liable in the case of default. Unless you want to come home to a 6 year trashed credit file, it's really not worth the risk for £45.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Talk Talk do a "change of ownership" form and is used for examples where someone is moving out but the other people want to keep the service.
You need to speak to customer services who will send one out for you to sign and then the person taking it over signs also. They get a new account number but the phone number stays the same.
I know this 100% as I only did it myself 6 weeks ago.
