Bumping this as we need to buy a towel rail this weekend , we currently have a white one , heated via the hot water , as if it were a radiatior (just calrifying because one of the screwfix linked to , a reviwer refers to it being easier than a CH fed one??)
Is it just like for like , as long as the pipe tails match up ?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

The electric one will need an electric feed nearby. If you get a CH fed one, as long as the width is the same should be no problem. May be need fixings in a different places.
Unless you go to the manufacturer of the original white one you will struggle to get an exact match.0 -
Thank you , we dont have an electric one and happy to have a like for like , my fitter just advised me to make sure the tails line up to avoid extra workNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

we had a central heating fed towel rail at the last house - it was a 'cheap' (read carp) B&Q type shed special fitted by previous owner, it was a rogue size almost like imperial spacing of the connections as it was only a few mm out but it ended up a replumb. we fitted a chrome plated screwfix one that was on offer and it looked a much better quality and is now a standard spacing so replacement will be easy.
in our new house oh wanted afeature so we stumped up the cash for

towel rail - in my view its not worth the money but the one we choose looks very pretty so it ticked the box, also when it failed the customer service was absolutely superb so we would recommend the company and we would buy from them again0 -
Hi everyone, I bought a Reina electric towel warmer in 2013 and it rusted after one year. It was not cheap and I am quite annoyed. Their customer service was very good though and are willing to send a new replacement; but I have to go through the hassle and expense of taking out the rusted one and putting in the new one. What if the new one also rust in one year's time!? Rgds.0
