Lewie,
You really are coming across as very aggressive!0 -
Lewie,
Anyone can 'thank' someone for their post if they feel that it is helpful advice. It doesn't have to be pertinent to their own situation. It is called 'manners'.
I don't know RosiPossum in any way, though I have most likely seen some of her posts on other threads too. If there is a 'cosy club' then I am not a member of it.
And yes, it was me that reported your post as it was offensive and uncalled for.
.... And I'm just about to do so again.0 -
Well done you.
Do remember to take teacher an apple as well won't you?
BTW, do point out which line you thought to be offensive.
You appear to be a little sensitive.0 -
Not clear why OP started this series of posts unless it was to upset and aggravate as many people as possible. I know, of course, that he has an inalienable right to do so and anyone objecting to it is foolish and probably a member of the "Cosy" club.
I'm rather hoping at this point that things don't pan out on the holiday front. I know this makes me a bad person but I just can't help it.0 -
No giraffe, not a bad person, just blinkered.
you can side with the cosy club, no problem, but if you can just point out where I was the first to get personal or aggressive that may help my understanding.
Thanks0 -
This could be a long one, well at least until it gets locked.0

RosiPossum posted nothing which could be viewed, by a reasonable person, to be worthy of your invective. I do not need to point out which line in your post I find offensive as you know full well which one it is. As using the same phrase in your earlier post led to the moderators deleting it, it is fairly obvious that I am not alone in feeling it was wholly inappropriate.
Having spent the majority of my working life in male dominated environments I am definitely not a sensitive little flower who faints at the whiff of an expletive. However I don't like it when someone is so openly aggressive to another individual in a public forum, and especially without just cause.
I do hope you realise how much you have shot yourself in the foot with your personal attacks as I can't see anyone being prepared to offer you much in the way of advice now.
And just to clarify for you:
I have thanked Wealdroam for pointing out post #5 to you, thus saving me the job
I have thanked Giraffe69 because I agree with the contents of his post
I won't take an apple to teacher, but I will be taking a box of chocolates to my Mum (retired teacher) when I visit her tomorrow.
Enjoy your holiday.0 -
I don't think I said anything about the rules. I just suggested that the attitude that is coming across from you is unlikely to get you much help.
It comes across in your posts like you are going into this all guns blazing, which is where I think the "wind your neck in" will have come from.
There's no cosy club, I can't even remember who I've disagreed/agreed with on other posts. I recognise names but not if I have any particular feelings towards the posters.
As this is a money saving forum, I'll save my electricity bill and not boil my head, since I doubt I'd eat it after doing so and it would be a waste.0
