    Claims aren't brought solely because the LA fails to maintain the carriageway.

    Claims can only brought because the LA fails to maintain AND the driver fails to take that into account.

    If the driver takes the LA's failure into account, there is no damaged tyre/wheel to claim for.

    Well, yes I do!

    Because, the compensation effectively comes from every [local] taxpayers' pocket!

    ANd if I can manage to avoid sustaining damage from potholes, or damaged road surfaces, I do not see why others cannot do the same.

    But then, I don't adopt the attitude of expecting others to 'do my dirty work for me!!'
    No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
