MSE pricing on TalkTalk inaccurate - Calls Boost

Options
Not sure how I can inform the right folk, but the MSE broadband article states Call Boosts cost 3pounds/month. In fact it's 5.50/month and has been this price for a while.

So in act TalkTalk costs 30squid more than the article states....

Article needs to be updated...

  • Okay, so it turns out that I think that the call boost is for mobile phones rather than landlines.

I still think the article is still somewhat misleading: "If want to make calls, you can add a Call Boost to your package, from £3/mth." I would think that when people are comparinf BB/telephone bundles that they are more likely to be looking at the cost to landlines - most people with mobiles would be looking to make calls to mobiles from their own mobiles (as that would be a cost covered by their mobile plans).

An FYI for anyone looking at the true cost of TT versus other providers!:D

TalkTalk do keep changing their deals. They offer different boosts to suit different customers. "Simply Broadband" with "Anytime UK Calls" is £8 per month. No download limit. Annual line rental paid in advance is £126. Basic voicemail is free, anonymous caller reject is free, block 10 nominated numbers is free, caller display is free, and if you pay your monthly bill within 24 hours of getting it, you get a 15% discount. You can also block outgoing calls to mobiles, or premium (090) or international numbers if you want, all for no extra charge.

    Satisfied TalkTalk customer.
  • The operative word is FROM

"What if I want calls? No calls are included in this package, but if you're one of the many who only have a landline for broadband, this could be a winner. If want to make calls, you can add a Call Boost to your package, from £3/mth."

So its not incorrect cos you can.

    Seems very clear to me.

Best to read the text usually.

Yes, it does state FROM indeed...but that's for mobile phones. Like I said, I think most people would be more interested in having landline calls included than mobile calls...but perhaps that's just me.

I've been with TT for over 3yrs now and they've slowly been creeping up their costs for me now (over 350/yr) for mediocre BB...as for my experiences for customer retention...I think they talk talk....and I'm gonna walk walk....(to another provider).

    Thanks for your responses.
