Hazzarded a guess as you said you were taking DS3 with you and the 2 signs were the same colour. Could well be wrong :o.

Having read the article, I need to contact my Step Dad about this, he could be affected as he lives near Howardsgate. I hadn't realised. But then, that's the whole point isn't it? Most people won't realise that they will be at risk unless they have bought or sold recently and it's showed up in the searches.

I wonder if there is a quick free way to find out if your home is affected?

    You were right!

Freeholders 'should' have received a notice from the Land Registry probably in October. Leaseholders 'probably' would not have - in our town a lot of houses are leasehold from the council and to confuse matters more some of the land is unregistered. Look at this website for advice as to how to find out.

I don't think you and DS3 are revolting, Dusty - quite the opposite! :)
Well done on the will, deco. I signed my updated version (New addresses for almost all the family! ) just before we left yesterday ;)

Dusty - I scanned the 'mob' and the Dusty I chose was the friendly- looking lady - with a DS of the appropriate age.;)

Off to Northampton today to see my sister. First time since Christmas.

Might flap a bit while I'm, there.

DD says 'it's no big deal' - but passes on her thanks. (I think the spectre of the exam hurdle loomiing doesn't help).

But she only interviewed Saturday so she must have impresssed. I'm pleased because I liked the feel of the whole set up; Coventry seems a friendly place; Uni appears supportive.

Valli - well done to your DD
pigpen - ouch toe healing vibes to you
Dusty - have sent petiton link 2 of my DDs and asked them to pass it on for you, especially the one who lives in the church affected area i mentioned as that similar so friends/neighbours in that area may feel inclinded to support. hope the protest gets things moving in the right direction.
Bossy - glad date went well and was a positive experience

sorry if ive missed anyone ive have scan read the pages i missed and that what i managed to take in.

missed yesterday as it was a puter free day, DS2 had his climbing activity, DS1 went for his ear appt but nurse advised him not to have them sringed but to continue with drops. went for my 'mot' bp and other test fine just got to get smear results through the post in a week or so, at least thats all done for a couple of years now.
spent the afternoon weeded and tidying the front garden and inadvertantly got a better price quote for the new garage roof, thought the same roofers had come back to do the block of 2 garages next to our nieghbours -ie 3 and 4 houses away from us. someone came and gave us a price that did neighbour and their other neighbour but said someone would come and check our access, DS1 said someone had been while i was out so assumed it was same guys so went down to say i was back. luckily it turned out two of them were old school mates of DH so they didnt think i was a total fruitbat. have had a quote of them and its £100 more BUT includes upvc facia boards guttering and downpipe instead of just new boards and felt. embarrasslying while i was talking to them original guy drove past having been to my house to check if i was back. still havent agreed to anyone yet to do the work and its better to have a couple of quotes than just go for the first one.

off to check the lists and see what i should have been doing yesterday.

Post man came and OH has a letter it felt like a bank card so I opened it, it was a credit card with £5000 limit! For the last 30 mins I have been attacking this card with scissors, I am so annoyed.....

Then I re-read the letter to my neighbour whos name is very similar to my OH, and its also got next doors address on :( so I am sat here feeling like a total Pratt (far worse words are springing to mind!)

So I am now going to dispose of it and act like nothing has happened.....thats the right thing to do yes???

Soup is cooked and 1xwm has just finished.

I've thrown the hoover around and ironed DD's No.4s. The sun has come out and my mood has lifted insurmountably.
I'm taking DS for a walk down the sea front later after I drop off DD at her friends house. Think we'll get our first ice cream of the year if PJ's is open.

Will do dusting etc later on.

The lovely weather has made me think of gardening. DS is doing a bag pack fundraiser at a local garden centre on Sunday so I will go and get some pretties for my pots and baskets. Hope for good weather so that I can get it all in soon :)
