    You shouldn't lose fuel. The fuel pump fits through the top of the tank. They should just beable to pull the old pump up and drop in the new one leaving the fuel in the tank alone.

    But having 40kg of fuel in the tank won't make dropping it any more fun... They may drain it out for that purpose - but they _should_ put it all back in.
