Moving - what is needed?

Just had another thought. Get the fridge and freezer plugged in ASAP as they may need time to get to the right temperature. Also you may want to switch lights on when you go in just to check for missing / blown bulbs.
Chatting to neighbours about things like when is bin day, location of shops, doctors etc is a good way of breaking the ice.
However the best advice I can give you is try to get a good nights sleep the day before as moving can be very tiring.
Hope it all goes wellFind out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -

The things that I have on my list is : Toilet paper, toilet seat, light bulbs, kettle, teabags, mugs and milk (Moving everything ourselves and none of us take sugar.)
We'll be giving the place a good clean before we move anything in and also introducing the dogs to the place.
Is there anything I've missed out that's needed before moving all of our stuff in? I feel like there's something big that I'm forgetting!
We'll be using the partners work van, but the road is a close. Should I pop a letter in to neighbours to apologise in case he blocks the road slightly? There is parking room but not many spots near our to-be house.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, the most important thing is to get the house cleaned and look for all the maintenance issues.0 -
Hi,
I always take a roll of bin liners and sellotape.. just incase you dont get the curtains up ..
milk.. if you put plug in kitchen sink (might need a one size fits all plug these are always missing when i move) and leave some water in it will help keep milk cool ..0 -
Some packets of biscuits. crisps and snack items to go with all those cups of tea!0

it's not that complex, if you just remember:
Up for 1's, down for 2's for a bloke, down 1 and 2's for a girlie.... Dragons can use the garden.
Oh, yes, I see..... I think a lot of people like a shiny new loo seat in their new home. For me, a bottle of bleach does the job.0
