County court letter received help needed please

Hi folks, need some help please.
My partner has received some papers from Northampton county court, with a claim form for payment to a PPC.
He has received several letters previously and ignored them. He was not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the parking 'offence'.
We have read the sticky and it seems we have missed the boat for some sort of appeal, the question is, what do we do next? We don't want to end up with a CCJ.
Regards

a) which PPC are we talking about here - Parking Eye?
b) you need to acknowledge the claim on MCOL stating you will defend in full. This needs to be done by the day 14 from service. You then get upto 28 days from service to submit your skeleton defence.
c) You will not get a CCJ against your name - even if you lose the case in court - if you pay before 28 days then no CCJ will be recorded against you.
d) complain to the retailer/landowner - whoever engaged the PPC - to get this charge cancelled.
We can help with a defence but need to know which PPC.0 -
Hi, thank you
yes it was parking eye.
Not sure who the landowner would be, it was on an NHS site.0 -
Just to confirm, before we set off down the wrong road - this parking 'incident' took place in England or Wales.
Not Scotland or Northern Ireland?0 -
Yes it was in England, November of last year0
-
well thats your owner answer - formal complaints to PALS, the Hospital Trust etc. This wasn't Burton Hospital by any chance was it?Not sure who the landowner would be, it was on an NHS site.
The Parking Prankster has complied two excellent guides - containing everything you need to know to defend this visit
http://www.parking-prankster.com
both can be downloaded from that site - one is free and contains all the necessary legal arguments and the other the cost of a cup of coffee - the money has paid for supplementary court transcripts - useful to add to defence - also available on that site. It also helps travel costs for lay reps to attend court.
There is plenty of reading to do - but Parking Eye cases are very defendable and in fact they are losing a lot in court lately - especially with forum aided defences.
Make sure you acknowledge the claim and submit defence in time though as if you miss these dates - you will lose by default.
If you are unsure what defence to submit - simply post up here first if you like.
Also there is plenty of reading available on MSE - read the sticky threads at forum top and follow links.
Did Parking Eye send you a letter before court action before you received the court papers?
Edit here's a couple of threads with other cases to get you going (read and follow other links within)

Thanks very much, I'll read those tomorrow. We've had the court papers for a few days, only read them properly today as I've had the lurgy lol.
Not at Burton Hospital, It was at a community clinic in Coventry.
Yeah we did get a letter stating court action would be taken if we didn't pay up, we didn't realise the rules had changed and ignored that letter too0 -
I think that clinic has also been featured lately on this site- do a search and I've just edited the above post to give a few threads containing further links to follow - bullet point defence in one to start you off!
Plenty of reading though to do for you.
Make a formal complaint to the clinic - what was the alleged contravention -
was this an overstay out of hours?0 -
The alleged contravention was non payment of parking fee.0
