Definitely one to avoid, there are plenty of other cars available - if this one is particularly cheap then there is a reason for it.
Either they have done the logbook loan as above or have discovered some defect with it in the very short time they've had it and want to ditch asap before it becomes obvious.
I think 1) is the more likely option but of course it could also be stolen/cloned hence no V5.
If you are determined to buy it then why not ask which dealer he bought it from, get him to show you the invoice and confirm with the dealer the sale took place. My guess is they won't be able to do any of these as the story is fiction.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Agree, log book loans do not show on ANY HPI check as they are liens.
The reason for no replacement is if they have not made a repayment the car will be repossessed by the time one arrives.
They often only have a week at tops from defaulting to repro .I do Contracts, all day every day.0
