Hi all,

I accidentally drop my S3 and the digitizer touch screen broken.

I wonder if there is anyway to swipe my data inside before I dispose my phone.

I don't really want to smash & bin it as it is not good for environment.

Why not simply fix it, that's even better for the environment.

Have you looked at Samsung's software, that may let you do a factory reset without touching the phone.

It would cost £85 to just buy the digitizer touch screen. Although I already watch video on youtube about how to fix it, I don't think it worth risking £85. And I would imagine it probably cost £100+ if I take it to local shop.

Also, i have a good budget smartphone, so I don't want to spend time & ££ fixing samsung.

I will try tonight, but don't have high hope.
I try pluging in with usb to PC before, but I am unable to access to anything because the touchscreen broke, can't enter password.

    Yes there is.

Turn the phone off and turn it back on whilst holding the power button, volume up button and middle home button together. When the phone vibrates let go of the power button and hold the other two until the phone boots up. Then use your volume buttons to toggle through the options until you get to the factory reset option and use the power button to select the option.

Like *Fowandert* said, theoretically there is a way.

It didn't work when we tried it with DP's phone, though. While it wasn't easy to find things with the screen broken, the phone recalled all of the data a few days later.
