Renewing BT Broadband and Anytime calls

Hi
Just thought I,d pass on my experience of renewing broadband/phone package with BT. Came to the end of our contract a month ago, just got round to doing something about it and rang billing queries ( India) as I was not happy at having caller display added to my last bill. He put me through to contract renewal, still India, who offered me 20gb broadband for £11.34 and £5.48 for anytime calls. I said I,d think about it. Next day rang contract renewal but this time it came up from Doncaster. The best he could do was over £13 for broadband and £7.00 for anytime calls, said he had no idea where the chap from India was getting his figures from. He then said if you want I can put you through to cancellations and see if they can come up with anything better. He did so and the next person offered me 20gb broadband usage for £10.65 and anytime calls for £5.48. This is cheaper than the contract we,ve been in for the last 2 years. Moral is always go to cancellations even if you don,t intend to cancel.
