Need a credit card for poor credit rating

Hello,

I've just received a copy of my credit report, Everything was excellent apart from credit agreements which was very poor, because I have absolutely NONE.

I am 33, have a steady and good income with no debts apart from my student loan. I have saved a really good deposit and I want to apply for a mortgage. Are there any credit cards or mobile contracts I can apply for that I won't get rejected for?

I'm aware that applying and getting rejected will damage me even more, any advice will be greatly appreciated!

One application has very little (and short-term) effect. Rejection doesn't have any effect at all.

Your first port of call should be your own bank.

They will know how much you bank every month and if your account is well run.
