Conifer fallen - Freecycle wood?

Hi
The winds have felled a tall conifer in my garden. Fortunately it hasn't done any damage but it obviously needs to be removed. I was going to call a tree surgeon (as I might have some bushes removed while I'm at it) when I had an idea. Would anyone be interested if I offered it on Freecycle (or whatever it is these days) for them to cut into logs and remove? It would do us both a favour if it was possible.
Thanks

Probably yes, but as a firewood collector and burner I avid pine, it spits from an open fire and contains so much sap it can deposit it on chimneys and woodburners, leading to chimney fires.
But then, if you don't ask..!0 -

Seems that it's worth a try then. Thanks.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
Well, my lovely neighbour came round with his chain saw and cut it all up. We've put lots of branches in the green recycling bins and the rest is out at the front of my property, either for someone to take away otherwise we'll take it to the recycling. He's also coming back to cut up the stump so I can rid of that too.
Now I just need to get a thank you gift. He's probably saved me a couple of hour's work from a tree surgeon. Any ideas?somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -

If you live near me I'll pick it up, burns fine when properly dry.0 -
A bottle of single malt is rarely The Wrong Thing.
That said, you've given him a 'knight in shining armour getting to play with man toys hero saga' - with him as hero. Malt may be superfluous...0 -
I was going to get wine or beer but have no idea what he drinks (though do vaguely recall seeing bottles in his recycling bin! Anyway, I've decided to give a pub card so he can choose his own, or use towards a meal.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
