As Clapton says....what's the alternative? Wait?
How much will they go for in 2015 you reckon?Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
I think we are going to look for a large 2 bed with room to extend out or up once we have the extra saved. Really don't want to pay 3% stamp duty.£2 Savers club £0/£150

whilst I wish you well, maybe your 2 bed house will be 300k by then0 -
It's not the actual sales made through HTB that are the cause of the bubble, it's the sentiment that the scheme breeds which gives greedy parasite Estate Agents an excuse to ramp up prices, exactly as per the intention of this morally bankrupt BS excuse for a government.
You people here that relentlessly claim there's no bubble, and that house prices are all perfectly fine and affordable, absolutely disgust me. You are the ruination of this country and the lives of younger generations that are being bullied and suckered into appalling amounts of lifetime debt, all because of your own greed and selfishness. You are sick.0 -
Do you blame these same people for causing rising house prices in other countries too?EchoLocation wrote: »It's not the actual sales made through HTB that are the cause of the bubble, it's the sentiment that the scheme breeds which gives greedy parasite Estate Agents an excuse to ramp up prices, exactly as per the intention of this morally bankrupt BS excuse for a government.

Well I am not going to say it’s the only cause but I can see a direct correlation locally between HTB2 and prices rising.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Good to see prices rising, even in less desirable areas like yours, Percy. :beer:Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0

Desirability is in the eye of the beholder, I am living exactly where I desired.
But I don't see it as a good thing for prices rise too much, to early to call how far this push will go.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Well there's obviously more than a singular cause for rising house prices, but I would imagine the sickening selfishness and greed of the haves and vested interests knows no boundaries. You do not have to be a big part of the cause to be a big part of the problem.0 -
Each generation has different challenges that they have to face. If you're not happy with the current challenges they face then may be a reality check is in order as previous generations have had to face much bigger and worse problems.EchoLocation wrote: »Well there's obviously more than a singular cause for rising house prices, but I would imagine the sickening selfishness and greed of the haves and vested interests knows no boundaries.
