BT Webmail

Hi,
Hopefully someone may have some advice (or perhaps the BT Rep may take this on) as I'm banging my head against a brick wall here dealing with BT.
As part of the change from BT Yahoo to BT, I can no longer log on to BT webmail whenever I am outside the UK, which as I work abroad a lot is a big issue. I can go through the BT homepage and log onto My BT absolutely fine, but when I then try to log onto Email, I get the message that "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."
Now I can get into my e-mail using Outlook, so I can receive some mail, but I lose access to some mail that ends up in my webmail spam box, and can't access that at all. I can't access any of the e-mail settings either.
I have managed to get access through a VPN, but sometimes my access is so slow that pages take forever to display.
I realise that in the grand scheme of things this isn't a huge problem, but I am getting more and more frustrated by BTs unwillingness to help. The last response was simply that the homepage works in the UK and gives me access to my Email, so it must be something that my foreign ISPs are blocking. As I have said to BT, it worked before, it doesn't work now you have changed your portal. I believe under our contract that I am paying for webmail access, so think that BT should assist. They won't even provide any details for me to forward to an ISP in case the ISP is blocking the BT webmail site.
Rant mode off, any assistance would be gratefully received.

Edited to add: Just found that I can get into my BT e-mail via the Yahoo mail log-in at the moment. That has changed again as last week that page sent me straight to the BT portal, and is obviously a short term fix. BT has really screwed up this changed of E-mail server, hopefully it'll all be sorted sometime.

Why don't you download email that is flagged a spam into the Junk email folder on Outlook ?0

try fastmail.co.uk instead of BT0

Many thanks for the suggestions.
I suspect I'll go the Outlook.com route, and get my btinternet address linked to Outlook, as I already use Outlook.com for another account.
Downloading the spam into an Outlook junk mail folder wouldn't be an issue, apart from the fact that it's access on the road when I don't have a computer with Outlook installed (made the assumption here that you're talking about an installed Outlook, rather than the webmail version).
I don't see the point of using FastMail if I can do the same with Outlook, but thanks anyway.
I guess it would be nice if BT managed to sort out what they are doing with this migration from BYYahoo to BT alone, as that is what seems to be causing the problems and they are unwilling to help me.
