in Credit cards
I remember seeing a link once that said how long you had to leave it until you applied again through the same provider in order for you to get 0% on purchases again.
I opened a card with view to buy stuff for the house on it (fridge, bed - all the big stuff etc), but it's taken us much longer than we thought & the months have been disappearing off it, so i was thinking of closing it & then when we get round to it, opening a new one.
I found: http://www.stoozing.com/credit-cards/credit-card-suppliers.php although i don't think that's the one i was thinking of.
Anyway is that right? I'm sure when i last looked you had to leave 3 months, 6 months & so on in between closing & re-applying. That link says you can apply the next day. Well not in those exact words - but 0 months? Or is that an error?

Depends on the company. As the entire list is 0 months i would check the terms and conditions on one of the sites to see if it matches what that page says.
You may try contacting the card company and see if they will extend the offer. If you mention another company have xx months interest free but you dont want to switch cards.
You would like to be loyal etc etc..
Of course your going to move it at the slightest blink of a better offer. But you make it seem like they are helping you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Zero months is probably a glitch in the site. I've told the owner, Stooz.0

That aside, a question about the Santander card -
They are offering a lengthy 0% offer. I have their 123 credit card. If i apply for their 0% card am i a 'new customer' as i don't have that card yet, or am i an 'existing customer' since i have a card, albeit a different one, with them?0 -

Yes i could call them, but thought someone here may know?0 -
Stooz is working on fixing the table. The problem was a glitch in the way a card update was applied. It's currently showing six months for all but that'll probably change in a few days once the fix is done.0

Tesco is either 6 months or 12 month, as I cancelled two credit cards last summer, one if which told me 6 months and the other told me 12 months. (The other card was barclaycard) can't remember which card was which though.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0
