OP can you hear yourself??? You sound bitter and jealous.

I sometimes think this sort of stuff is why facebook causes so much trouble. Even if said as a joke it's clear the kind of comment you're thinking of would go down like a lead balloon with other people on your FB who'd think less of you for saying it.

I have an ex I've not seen in decades who seems to keep a close eye on my doings and will comment in nice ways.
I'm very careful what I say to him and don't banter about "when we were married" as I know his long term live in girlfriend (who I don't know) is also on FB and can presumably can see my replies.

So . . my ex, still friends from about 10 years ago, is seeing someone I'm friends with on FBook . . we worked together about the same time 10 years ago(Girl and me). but don't think they knew each other IYSWIM

She has posted a msg about how thoughtfull he is with flowers etc for Valentines . . . I am so tempted to msg her and say, 'I taught him well' but think that's the bitter single b*tch in me after seeing all those loved up couples on adverts all day !!

RANT OVER . .wine beckons :)
    :)

I'm not sure if the OP meant this as a fun-type, tongue-in-cheek post (would have been better in The Arms or DT) or if she is so monumentally arrogant that she really does believe that she 'trained' this guy.

I just hope for the sake of this ongoing friendship with her ex, he never finds out what she really thinks about him.

    Eurgh.

OP you sound just like my boyfriend's ex. As far as I am concerned you are the equivalent of a bad smell that won't go away.

Grow up, move on. Seriously, you're not doing yourself any favours.

When did women start being so unnecessarily nasty to each other over stuff like this?!

Do you not feel there's a bit of a disconnect between these two sentiments?

That was that pesky snake's fault! ;)

But seriously, OP. I would not talk about my dog the way you are talking about your ex. No good can come of snippy comments to him or his friends.

    I agree.

Facebook just encourages people to be Peeping Toms and spy on those that have tried to move on - creepy really.

Probably true. Though after the petty bullcr!p that my OH's ex put me through for a good few years, I will fully hold my hands up and say I'm not unbiased when it comes to this stuff!

ETA: plus i'd probably be more inclined to put "bad smell" in the childish and petty folder as opposed to the nasty one ;)
