XP to Vista

Have to say, Vista looks more polished but I preferred xp, everything with vista seems to have to go all round the wrekin before you can do something simple like delete a file! (I am running both) also i really hate the search function in Vista but I believe they are sorting that out in sp1.
Another annoyance is the fact that a lot of my hardware is incompatible with it. I don't hate Vista I just think normal xp processes are very long winded to achieve in comparison, I would have preferred to wait until sp1 came out before I upgraded in hindsight.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0 -
Hi. We have 4 very old computers running ME & XP and they are all networked nicely via our Orange Broadband wireless router. We can all access each others computers and swap files.
3 of these computers are getting replaced with new ones running Vista Home Premium.
I held off - but the salesman tried to upsell me to Vista Business or Ultimate saying that I will not be able to Network with Home Premium.
Is this true?
Thanks0 -

Networking with in vista home and home premium works just like XP home.
It is the advanced features of logging on to network domain servers that is missing and a few other litle bits none that are important for your setup.
I'm still removeing vista and sticking XP on customers PC's, so far there is 1 PC that I havnt had to do it on, that guy just wanted a pc to have internet access and run office 2003.0 -

Are you not installing it properly then? I have installed it on at least 7 different pc's, all different specs and different editions of Vista and not had any problems on any of them. I have a feeling you may be slightly biased and tell customers that they should have XP and not Vista
