Ovivo problems?

Is anyone else having problems with Ovivo this morning? I cannot make calls out. On trying to call my mobile I get

"The number you have dialed has not been recognised, please check and dial again".

MyOvivo shows included minutes left and credit, too.

Mike

Thanks, I missed that. 'Phone seems back on now. It was almost like a port. First nothing, then I could send texts. Next incoming texts came back, then outgoing calls and finally incoming calls. Most odd.

I had various issues with OVIVO over the past few months:
    • Some calls going straight to voicemail.
    • Outgoing calls not always working even with credit & 'free mins'
    • Data faster on 2G than 3G - even then it was very, very slow.
Fed up, I ported out to 3 and even though the signal strength isn't as good, voice calls work and data reasonably fast.

Guess the old adage applies 'You get what you (don't) pay for'

I also had problems with phoning and texting this am.

I've been with Ovivo over 18 months and this is the first significant outage I've experienced. I'm still a big fan of them - brilliant value at £0 per month!

Data speeds are a bit hit and miss, but I mainly use data when I am out and about eg transport, news, and map apps, plus a bit of googling if I am bored on a train and it is good enough most of the time. I mainly use wifi at home.

For someone in my situation, Ovivo is perfect.

I remember when I was on Giffgaff; outages and other problems (top-up unavailable etc. ) were a regular occurrence. :p
From their boards, things haven't changed.
And look at the posts regarding other major networks on this very forum! Seems they ALL have their problems.
Been with Ovivo for 18 months with very few (and then very minor) problems, so .....
As Herongull says, for my situation Ovivo is perfect ATM. :D
  • I am loving Ovivo and have a Mifi with a samba sim in the car to ensure that I stay witin my 500mb data limit of ovivo :-)

So are you allowed to tether on all their SIMs?

Samba works on all 3G tablets, any laptop or desktop using a dongle or MiFi unit, and WiFi-only tablets using a MiFi unit

    Seems OK for free!

The sim I have in the mifi is with SAMBA (works on 3 network).

You can tether with Ovivo (although you cant create a hotspot with an iphone).

The only reason for having samba instead of ovivo sim in MIFI is that I only paid a £1 for it.

I do have OVIVO in the iphone
