I am struggling to find where its written what Virgin mobile charge for data use in the EU whilst roaming.
I asked them via online chat last night and they said £5 per mb.
Ofcom say the max that can be charged is 38pence.
I understand that if a bundle is used that can mean more is charged (or less) - but they way i see it, virgin give you no choice but to use a bundle. There is no pay as you use option that I'm aware of.
I've emailed CS to see what the official line is.
I'm pretty sure £5 per mb as per the online chat is wrong!

Not quite sure why you would want a pay as you use option when the bundles look very very cheap anyway. If you are only a low user, buy the 10mg bundle for £3
This looks very good value: 250MB Travel Pass = £20 considering what some networks would charge for that and also having seen some of the bills on here from people coming back off holiday having used internet on their phones!0 -

I can guess that they allow data roaming only if you buy a bundle.0 -
The best time for data roaming with Virgin was a few weeks in 2009
30 pence a day for exactly the same bundle as at home.
They soon fixed that blunder, but not before a friend and I had almost used up my stock of SIMs that had come with £5 free credit. We even watched Wimbledon on the BBC website for a minute or so using my phone and Joikuspot, just to prove it was possible0 -
Thats what i thought too - just wanted to check i wasnt missing something obvious0
