If you have a personal exercise program, know how much exertion and at what stages of recovery you are at, have constant physiotherapy and check ups with the doctors and have someone qualified at the gym who can deal with severe back injuries if something went wrong...then I may agree.

But, since it is a back injury, recuperation would be better in the pool :)

They have not given me a personal exercise program ,I go to jog and swim , My Physiotherapist says no exercise for a few months as I have pulled ligaments and tendons in Back and hip and they need to rest, he wrote a letter for me to take to Gym to cancel membership

I would have thought that a gym is just the place to help you in recuperation of this sort of injury

Do you require a document from your doctor, or a fitness assessment which would exempt you from this ?
What is the exact wording of the contract as regards the admin fee?

My Physiotherapist says no exercise for a few months as I have pulled ligaments and tendons in Back and hip and they need to rest, he wrote a letter for me to take to Gym to cancel membership . In the contact it does not state how much just says 'subject to a reasonable administration charge , the admin charge to join was £10
  • When did you enter the contract, how long for and how much was it per month?

I have been a member over 1 year , monthly charge for me as it's a joint membership is £43
