Default - old address

Dear all, I've just checked my credit rating and a default has appeared from Vodafone regarding a phone I had some years ago. The address associated with the phone is 2.5 years old and I have had not correspondence about this at all. I have the means to pay off the debt in full (c.£800) and would have done if I'd known about it!

Does anyone have any ideas on whether I can have this removed?

Thanks in advance

Most likely not, you could call to pay them and explain what went wrong and if they could remove the default. No harm in asking.

Mobile phone companies do not need to tell you they have defaulted your account.
