secondly. Youre wrong. i was referring to the post in the james dyer thread i think it was [it was one of those talking about ed/james]. i havent set foot in the valentines thread so have no idea what she has posted in there.

im a woman. cant see how its as distasteful as saying that some people should be dead.

my beef is not with you. its with someone i now have on ignore [and what business is it of your why i have people on ignore?] so dont wish to get into an argument with other people. but if you want to keep going then do carry on

Going back to the debate - I really don't mind if the dates are MM/DD or DD/MM. From a personal point of view, I find the DD/MM easier as it is how most UK companies set out their forms etc BUT I am quite adaptable to change and after a few days of fuzziness I know I will be settled into back into cosiness once again

Back in the day before end date we had a different way of doing end date https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1001109
We used take turns to do an end list till Diva stepped in.
And we also could sorty the board by the buttons at the bottom.
Diva spent one crazy weekend amending every end date to the new formula (that it is now),meant we could search better as it was all over the place before.

lol chrissie i can see your looking thru the james dyer thread. i have been through that thread again and i cant find the post, but i did report it so maybe it got taken down. or it was in the thread that was totally deleted by mse.

My apologies, that was not a humourous thread. However, there are other responses in a humourous vein which you apparently have no issue with.

I did make unwarranted assumptions but I think the poster in question uses humour to try and alleviate tension - it smacks of unkindness to be quite so terse. On the other hand I believe in being a pompous g**, as I guess everyone can tell:rotfl:

I comp purely by end date, as i cannot be bothered to 'sit' on the forums all day entering every single comp that comes on like some folk.
I use and have always used 'weeowens' buttons, it works, i start at page 300 ish each month and keep going until im down to page 1 which will be the last day of that month.

And we are english not yanks therefore english dates are and always have been DD/MM/YYYY I hate the yankee way.
