Purchased used car help??

Could it be the clutch struggling to keep contact and slipping momentarily?0
-
I hope its not the clutch because I not long got it. Going to try the ht leads first I think and go from there? If its the clutch then surely it would do it most of the time and not now and again?0

Think I will book it bk in to the garage before my warranty runs out. New car for me and not really happy at all.
What revs are you at when you change up? I.e. When you go into 3rd from 2nd, what do the revs drop to?
Just wondering, because some people change gear based on speed, not revs, and if the engine/gearbox in this car are different to your previous one, then the speed when you change will be different.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
wil check for you tomorrow on the way to work and let you know.thanks0

I'm not that familiar with Foci but it's often the case these days that there are no HT leads.
You may find there are just individual pencil coils per plug, which will just have a multiplug connector to the wiring loom.0 -
I rang my local motor factor and when asked for Reg I had a price on leads so must have them in my focus. If no improvement I might put a new coil pack in.0
-
Right. New ht leads and coil pack I fitted today so see how thus goes I suppose. If no different then I'm stumped to be honest?? Surely not all focus cars are like this and think I have got a major problem if not. Month warranty left on my car so ford will be having a call this week if all still not right.0

what 1.6 engine is it???0
-
Why are you buying parts when it's the dealers problem to get it sorted?
Do you have a friend or work colleague that has a similar car that could drive yours and give an opinion on it?0 -
Yeah 1.6 petrol. Well ford reckon there is nothing wrong and to be honest it's like they not interested now they sold me the car. Only changed these to eliminate them but it's still not right0
