Morning all,
Snoozer, thinking of you today. I hope all goes well.
Winds and rain seem to have eased off for now thankfully and we have a beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine. Long may it continue. Thinking of the people whose homes have been wrecked by the floods. Thankfully my/our dear friends in Somerset are safe and sound. The home my husbands best friend lived in 10 years ago has been flooded by the river Thames. Such a gorgeous house from what I remember.
'Youngest' has got one on him. He doesn't often have one on him (unless he's tired) but yesterday his face was like thunder. It was so bad I took his dinner up to him last night (he's not allowed food upstairs). He asked me why I'd bought his dinner up and I told him I didn't want my head snapped off again so it is better he stay in his room. I suggested he had an early night and I got a blasting on his Twitter for even suggesting it. We are going to have to have words when he's in a better mood. As ive said to my husband many times before 'I'm not your punchbag (not literally by the way) when you've had a bad day'.
Guns and Roses blasting through my speakers today. My neighbour has gone out so I'm making the most of it.
Usual household chores today, vacuuming etc. Not much else.
My friends husband and son go down to theatre today to have her husbands kidney harvested to be transplanted in her son. I'm hoping all goes well for them.
Not sure what I'm doing for tea yet, haven't got that far.

Hi everyone and thank you for the good wishes.
DS and gf arrived at 2 am this morning so we're having a quiet morning, just killing time really until we have to leave. Hopefully DD and bf will not be too delayed because they are coming by train from Euston to Wigan and I know there has been some disruption.
No os has been going on at all in the last two weeks apart from minimal housework and a bit of cooking. My food budgets have gone out of the window but I am determined to pull myself together after today.
Judi, my best wishes to your friend's son and husband.
Scarlettsmum, ouch, I hope it gets better quickly.0 -
Afternoon all:D
Not been on for a few days.... Had a lot going on.
Had a big surprise . I'm having another baby!:eek::j
Total surprise and a shock but now we have got our heads around it I'm excited.
It will be hard work as Asher will only be 18 months and Noah has his issues, but he/ she will be a precious addition to our family and a true blessing. I will be 44 so hope I can muster up more energy:rotfl:
It's not on FB yet so shhhhhh.
Hope everyone's well and safe in this weather.

Thinking of Snoozer today; hope it all goes well.
Scarlettsmum Ouchy! Elbow-healing vibes for you; I hope it's not your dominant arm.
Good on you; I've been in a similar situation myself, back in Feb 1990 (twit in front of me suddenly decided to take the right turn he'd just passed, and the twit behind who'd been trying to get in my boot for the past 10 miles finally managed it); I had no mobile (was working for the Valuation Office and they didn't give us mobiles) and I was So Very Grateful to a passing motorist for stopping and offering use of his mobile to summon help. Even if there's no injury, just the shock can completely mess you up.On my way home from work yesterday, I saw a car half on the road and half on the grass verge facing in the wrong direction, all the other cars were just indicating and going round it, as I waited to go past I noticed the damage to the front of the vehicle so went past and parked my car just in front and got out and went back to the car – there was a young woman in the drivers seat who was trying to use a mobile to get someone to come to help her she was very shaky and the accident had only just happened – I offered to stay with her or loan her my mobile to get in contact with anyone. She wasn’t hurt in any way just very shaken. An off duty Policeman then stopped and took over. I was absolutely horrified at how many people just pulled round her and left her there. I know when DS1 fell off his motorbike before Xmas I was so grateful people just didn’t leave him there and several people stopped to help him.
Ooh, I'm jealous! The Ex kept all my music collection, and I've never got around to rebuilding it (probably not worth it now; I'm too deaf to really get the most out of it).Guns and Roses blasting through my speakers today. My neighbour has gone out so I'm making the most of it.
Oh, and all good wishes to your friends DH and DS.
NPM Congratulations!:beer:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

NPM - congratulations - what a lovely surprise.0 -
Got back from the hospital at 1pm, I have to go back in 6 months to see if there are any more significant changes, but he told me that they will hold off doing the op for as long as possible basically because the knees only last on average for 12 years.
When I got home there was a brown DWP envelope waiting in short I have been awarded DLA indefinitely so that is a weight off of my mind.
DD is on late shift today 2.15pm - 10.15pm so DH will pick her up from work.
She has snaffled my best black jumper for work because she hasn't got her uniform yet. As she was rummaging through my clothes she spotted a crimson sparkly top that I have had since the nineties (And I was a lot, lot slimmer) and ran off with that as well with a little whoop of glee, then it was Mum can you lend me a fiver
Oh well that is one of the joys of parenthood :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon all,
Well what a lovely sunny day after all that wind and rain yesterday. I wish I'd hung the washing out but didn't expect it stay nice.
NPM - how lovely, congratulations
Went for a walk along the river with my friend this morning, the wildlife ponds they have there were so full, any more rain and the boardwalks will be underwater.
Half term starts today for me and I'm looking forward to my lie ins next week.
Mince for dinner tonight, thinking I might make a pie.0 -
Congratulations NPM I'm so pleased for you! A baby is such a blessing!
My mouth is well and truly closed. I wont tell a soul honest.:)
Lamewolf I love my music. I'd be lost without it. My son and I share the same Spotify account. Only problem is, we both cant use it at the same time. However, as I paid for it, I get first 'dibs' on it.:rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
