Sky: Can i get a new customer deal at the same address?

Live with family member who is moving out and wouldn't mind keeping Sky if i can get a deal. Currently their name is on the bill so would i be best to switch to my name and try to negotiate a renewed deal or could they close their account and i see what new customer offers are available?

Whoever is named on the account could try first, then separately you could see what deals are there and pick the cheapest of these options.

Just get the account holder to call them and say they're moving out and the new people want to keep it.
Don't mention it being another member of the family unless you have to.

    see what they offer

The only new customer deals likely to be more attractive than retention deals are new equipment.
In your situation, best for your family member to see if they can wangle a deal and then take over payments when they leave.
