How do I get Freeview in a rented flat that was reconfigured for Sky?

Hi guys,
I've just moved flat and the previous tenants had Sky installed, with all the fancy bespoke wiring that entails.
I have a freeview box from my last flat. It has a regular aerial input.
Can we buy an adaptor to grab the signal from the Sky wiring? Do we have to call the estate manager to get them to revert to an aerial? Or can you just buy a freestanding aerial for freeview that works well these days?
Thanks for any insight!

A lot depends on where you live.
My standard Argos aerial still worked when I got a HUMAX Freeview HD box, but I am in line of sight of a big transmitter.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Unless you have some special kind of Freeview box (like an HD recorder), it might be less hassle to just install a Freesat box, which will use the Sky cables and satellite dish that are already present.
You can't connect a Freeview box to satellite.
I've no idea what your estate manager will do or what he will charge.
You can certainly buy an indoor aerial. It may or may not work depending on how good your signal is - the only way to find out would be to try it.
Look into FreeSat FreeTime for a YouView equivalent.0
