Re the amendment a holiday that cost £360.00app and 24 hours later to move forward at an extra cost of £144.70 air amendment, £45.00 per person admin and another £20.00 for cancelling hotel and then having to rebook the same hotel for a week later is scandalous to amend it for a week at a total cost of £254.70 on top of the original price is unbelievable
This is how the travel industry is making money in the climate of initial low prices which attract bookings, it is an important revenue stream to increase profits.
Did you read all the terms and conditions before booking?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

I DO NOT work for this company and I was only trying to suggest a "damage limitation" exercise, hopefully to get your correct dates amended for a smaller cost.
If you get no joy from any other avenues you may try,it`s cost you £150 but you won`t make the same mistake again.
We live and we learn.
Good luck whatever happens.
ps
I do think the way you`ve been treated is abominable0 -
Sorry for that, I tried the £150 route but no success looks like cancelling is only optionBORN TO RIDE - FORCED TO DRIVE

I can't even seem to cancel with lastminute.com
When you go through the call centre and press the cancellation option a message directs you to go back to the website and cancel from there.
If you try to speak to one of the indian callcentre workers they say there is no one who can cancel the holiday and to go back to the website (huh)
I have now sent three e mails confirming cancellation and not had a reply over the last 9 hours, yet when they thought they could make more money from me the replies came quickly:mad:BORN TO RIDE - FORCED TO DRIVE

Yes they do! They charge £30 per change + the difference in cost of the flight if it is more than the original. They do not refund the difference if it is less.
Not much help to OP though.0
