Can I please point out that I never once in my OP pointed at any particular thread
The whole point of my wee rant was the way the forum in my opinion is being over moderated at the moment with all the threads being closed/deleted/editedand I simply asked for other folks opinions

Apologies for highlighting the threads I was thinking of in my post, Mansey, but they're the only ones I've noticed get cut or deleted.
There was one on the 'Employment and Jobs' forum the other day that was deleted because it went off topic, so I don't think it's just our Comping haven that endures the iron fist at the moment.0 -
I think all forums go off topic it is just we lead from one thing to another when babbling on, but in the forums I use the mods come in and say "come on folks pull this back on topic"
Then you babble on about nothing and as an afterthought write "and to get us back on topic no I don't agree":rotfl:
I think a live chat room would be a good idea, can you imagine the fun
A live chat with a mod once a week would be good to ask questions too“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

People who want to post off topic or things likely to provoke strong opinions/arguments etc can always post them in "discussion time" which is there in part to keep irrelevant posts off the rest of the forum.0

I don't know if you are saying this thread is irrelevant to this forum or not so please don't take me wrong.
This thread was about threads that were being closed/deleted/edited in the competition forum so I thought this was the correct place to post“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

I must totally agree with serenity who put it much more eloquently than me
Also agree that unless real bullying occurs (Which I agree should be closed down and stamped out) that if you don't like the content of a thread simply stop reading it but don't dictate what the rest of the adults on the board can legally discuss.
Anyways back on topic
Do others think the mods are being a bit heavy handed at the moment or not?
The mods will not know how we feel unless we tell them

This thread was about threads that were being closed/deleted/edited in the competition forum so I thought this was the correct to post
I wasn't saying this thread was irrelevant to this forum, although it might be more appropriate for it to be in the site feedback section.
It was the posts/threads that this thread is about that could/should have been in "discussion time" if anywhere instead of in CCC.0 -

It's the ones that are mentioned in the first post.I have been really shocked this week about the number of threads that have been closed/deleted/disappeared/editing on this tiny part of the forum.0 -
