I understand that in some sections of society, not "grassing" a cheat is seen as te morally right thing to do.

To the rest of us, the opposite is true. If someone is cheating the system, it's the right thing to report it.

Hes not actually cheating the system though is he? Hes grumbled about going to a work placement, thats different. He said earlier on in the thread he was going, the poster whose post has been removed reported him for his attitude that he didnt want to be there, thats not a sanctionable offence.

You stated, what else have I got to do?

Well lets see, how about Job seeking because how the hell can I apply for jobs when I am on work placement 9am to 5pm?

Dont really need to give my response as its already been suggested what you do in this instance.

Hopw do you think those who work 9 - 5 manage to apply for jobs ? How about those who have kids to look after, cook the tea etc andn still manage to find time for job applications.

report someone so that they lose a months money?

Perhaps it will give him the attitude adjustment that he needs.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's on here tonight complaining he was sent home from the placement for wearing "the" T-Shirt or telling a fit colleague that he was sexy.

Wouldnt surprise me either, but not wanting to go to a placement isnt a reason to report someone.

What the previous poster did, if they actually did it, was just being vindictive for the sake of it.

Or it might be the final straw that leads him to take his own life.

I reckon it's your attitude that needs adjusting.

Hard to say. I think that he probably is.

We're not talking about benefit fraud here though are we? We're talking about someone who expressed a reservation about going on a work placement. The person who grassed on him has crossed a line in my opinion.

I'm no fan of GG, he's a complete idiot at times, but I think we'd all agree that the best outcome here would have been if the placement was successful. Fair enough the chances of that were fairly slim, but the person who reported him to the furniture place has probably now ensured that it won't be successful. Who benefits from that? Not GG, not the furniture place, not the taxpayers who'll have to continue to fund GG's lifestyle as there's little chance of him getting a job. The placement was a glimmer of hope for him, now that's probably been ruined. Nobody wins.

Thats a really sad thought. Everyone is capable of changing things for themselves and there's no reason to think that GG wont see the light eventually and work towards making himself more employable.

The fact that someone has been so vindictive here, however, has ensured that this wont be the opportunity that GG will act upon. Well done that person :(

Oh please, that's almost as pathetic as your earlier comparison of the deleted poster to Hitler.

If you're happy for your tax (assuming you actually pay any) to fund gay_guy's scrounger lifestyle then if his benefits are stopped you'll have no problem putting him up for a month and funding him directly without everyone else having to will you.

My attitude is that lazy gits like gay_guy need to be shown that their choice to scrounge of everyone else isn't going to work longterm - and I'm quite happy with it and have no intention of getting it adjusted.

I very much doubt that he would top himself due to some sockpuppet profile saying that theyve reported him to try and get him sanctioned.
