  • Thanks, that's what I thought just wanted to make sure I had understood it!

So I tried to reclaim my bank charges a few years ago and had my 'court date' set. 4 days (!!!) before this date, I had a letter come through saying all claims had been put on hold while the OFT investigated - which resulted in all claims being void.

My question is, I think I still have a claim but where do I (re)start?

U just need to follow the steps and the letter which is provided!!! It worked for me, I too was in your position - today I received £2500.00 14 days after I sent my letter requesting my charges by recorded delivery... I went on the grounds that I was constantly in a cycle of being in my charges and that Barclays refused to help! Don't be embarrassed to throw out your sob story too.

Did they just pay out or did they assess you as being in "hardship" first?

I was skeptical as I had previously tried to get the charges refunded from my current account. My argument was that I was in financial hardship at the time and was in constant cycle of charges and Barclays would not help me when I pleaded for their help at the time.

Today I woke up and was astonished by the £2,500 sitting in my bank!!!

Never did I think that they would refund my charges but they did to the tune of £2500! The money was in my account 14 days after I sent the letter!

The template provided by Martin Lewis is brilliant! TRTY IT!

I'm sorry but I don't quite follow you.
Are you saying you applied previously, and pleaded for help in your financial hardhip claim and were refused, yet you have now made a duplicate claim and they magically paid out?

How long ago did you first claim?
