I have been with Talk Talk for years and to be honest not had a problem,
I decided to upgrade to fiber Optic as there a few of us in the house that use the internet at the same time,
My connection date was 10th Feb, the engineer came out yesterday and connected me but I could not get access to the internet,
I rung them and spoke to someone who I could not understand properly but was told it would go live at 11.59pm so I would still be connected on 10th
I got up today and the router still showed the same red light on internet and green flashing ADSL, when I rung we went through all the checks resetting both Talk Talk router and BT one, still a problem, and was told I would have to have an engineer out and would have to wait 6 days.
I said not good enough this is a new contract and wanted to speak to a manager, and was told one would ring me back in 24hrs. Again I said it is not good enough, if one did not ring me back in 2 hrs I was going to cancel.
What are my options in cancelling. I am not immobile but do have really bad back problems and rely on the internet to do my online banking, also I do not drive so cannot get to the banks during the day.
Are they in breach of contract?

Router or modem? Do they have a modem and router or is it combined now?
With my plusnet install i have a separate modem, Then the router connects to that.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I have spoken to them again and they told me to get a dongle and they will credit my account £30 until an engineer calls next MondayThanks to all who post compsITV winners membersclub#20 -

Check they are both connected correctly .
After more than 10 calls I managed to get them to send an openreach engineer out today.
It turns out the first engineer, who was contracted by Openreach connected me to the wrong port? gate? in the cabinet.
Todays engineer could not believe it when I told him that the first one came back to the house and said that someone was using my port/gate and he had to disconnect them and put me on it.
All working great nowThanks to all who post compsITV winners membersclub#20
