Feeling guilty for not spending time with mother

You're not a bad daughter, visiting her every three weeks is plenty imo. If she wants to see you more often then SHE can make the effort to visit YOU! If the dog is an obstacle to them visiting, well tough, that's their problem, not yours. Why on earth do they expect you to go their on your days off to look after it?!
