Morning all,
second attempt: I lost internet access (no idea why) while posting last time. What with the laptop refusing to acknowledge the mouse and the big computer being old and cranky, I am finding it hard going (moaning - I know).
Last of the marking today, hope I can pick up some extras as I am finished 5 days early.
DH will hear tomorrow what the plans are for their office. They will all hear via an intranet message: nice touch by a "caring" management. The general thought is they will close by 2016, so there are some worried people. The decision was made some time back, but staff are being told at the same time as the press.
Lunch today is ham and salad, dinner with be butcher sausage (all meat!) and roasted butternut squash as it is COLD! here.
Stay warm xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all,
apologies for those of you who weren't able to see the video I posted yesterday, I'll see what i can do to get it back.
Thinking of Hester this morning.... as i stare out of my window i see the rain has turned to snow. Hester i hope your still a good distance from the flood waters and are keeping safe. Maybe my dreams of living close to the sea aren't such a good idea after all (I'm miles away from a river too... we have canals round here but they don't count do they? lol)
Sons girlfriend visited again last night (and this morning) my she's keen! She seems as keen to interact with us as a family as she is spending time alone with my son which sets my mind at ease somewhat. It just shows, I may have 5 kids but theres still much to be learned. You never stop learning (and making mistakes sometimes).
Jobs for today:
Vacuuming throughout and tea. I was going to do the windows on the side of the house today but I don't feel like it so I'm not. They can wait.
I got sent 6 beautifully handmade cupcakes last night. My husbands workmate sent them to me. I'm blown away by them and the thoughtfulness behind them. Such a shame to eat them!
Another video you might like to watch posted to me from the Baby House you might like to see.

¡Hola!
Another one who has been MIA, though no real excuse.
Congratulations Gonzo
Judi there is no such thing as a perfect family. Our representatives at our DS's wedding shortly will be our DS, us, 2 cousins with spouses & 2 kids apiece, and 2 Godparents & spouses.
Been walking along the coast for the last couple of days, a bit overcast at times, and rather windy yesterday, today is overcast again, but calm, tomorrow back to clear skies, and temps. getting back into the 20's on Thursday & Friday.Keeping on top of the housework, but not going mad, some have to hoover, mop, etc., all the way through every week, even unused rooms! Sorry don't enjoy it that much, so its more needs must here. Will start the WM off again tomorrow when it should dry, can't see why I need to do it when it isnt good drying weather, not run out of clothes yet (nor anywhere near!)
Will do chicken breasts wrapped in bacon (with cheese in for me) for dinner tonight, with carrots, green beans, sprouts and mash. Just treat myself to some scrambled egg with Smoked Salmon. Having a freezer use up;)

It was raining this morning and DD has her first 6.15am shift, DH took her to work and she will be finished in 30 minutes so home in about an hour.
Not enough washing to warrant putting the machine on so it can wait until tomorrow.
Had a quick flick and spit round the house so it is tidy
nmlc. Thanks for the timely warning DH is due to renew his licence and DS is getting his provisional licence, what a con and as you say a total disgrace coming from a government department

Judi. Forgot to say decided that I would not fall out with my son over sex. There were far bigger risks. He brought a girl home, it was a regular GF until he went to Uni, she came and stayed, but at least I knew where they were. He can't have been all bad, as he was friends with another girl, not a girlfriend, but sometimes he went back to her house from a late night in town with another girl who he was also friends with, who lived nearer us. Her dad (who knew us) would hear a male voice and shout who have you got there? When they replied it's only DS, then he would turn over and say OK. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They are still in touch, she is already married (he & GF went to the wedding) and due a LO, but as she was a little younger, if she was being silly he would play war with her, just like a big brother.

Hi everyone,
Despite all efforts big bro is insisting on speaking at the funeral - he will make it all about himself. My youngest bro is having one more attempt to stop him as he is justifiably very upset. He was no less than a saint to mum, spending every evening with her and all day Saturday.
I am trying to keep calm about it now, I've done what I can and I shall try to tune him out. I don't know if his wife and sons are coming to the funeral, they didn't come to dads.
Anyway the rest of the day will be spent in packing and sorting the house a little and maybe a little snooze!
Sorry I am being so rubbish at the moment I can't seem to focus on anything.0
