Yum, sounds lush. If you lived closer, beans would be off the menu. :D

Awww. I have an epic fancy to make breaded things, so tomorrow as well I'm making Chelsea buns and maybe a wholegrain loaf of bread too, essentially it's an hours work and a lot of sitting down waiting with a cuppa :D

Yum. I'm making a cuppa now, fancy one?
  • I'm sleeping all hours now. Doc gave me some Amitriptyline as couldn't sleep due to pain in both shoulders, it was also to help me not to get so stressed with hubby's health problems. I'm now joining him in his morphine induced sleeps both day & night - I don't think I've ever slept so much!

Hubby got to finally see knee consultant (after 15 months) last week. He was told he's too young for knee replacement at 61! Do they really expect him to be in a wheelchair on morphine for pain until he's 70! He will do an arthroscopy on his knee in the summer  and see if he is a candidate for a partial knee replacement - 30% chance of op. being all he needs. OMG! Poor devil has had to go through numerous tests and still has more to go through to ensure he'll be OK for this much needed op. He's still blacking out and having anaphylaxis episodes amongst other things. However I'm coping with it all a lot better having some sleep and taking my tablets.

Still haven't got my glitch shopping mojo back. We lost 1/2 our garage roof a couple of weeks back. I just covered everything with tarps and haven't been in there for a week. Waiting for it to stop raining so roof bloke can fix it by giving us a 'properly done new roof). Flat roof was only re-roofed 2 and a bit years ago but cowboy who did it won't answer his phone. ( All his many recommendations have it appears now turned into rants). Must go see if our big freezer is still OK.

Realised I had to stop glitch shopping as I've nowhere to store everything and 2 of us can only get through so much. Aiming to clear 3rd freezer totally this or next week - ready for the free Dr O's.

Have been shopping in Farm Foods, mainly for milk and have realised how many bargains they have there compared to 'normal' supermarkets.
    2x 2lts milk £1.60
    2x Large loaves £1.50
Jacobs Odditities 39p (instead of £1.59!)
    2 x 4pk Bounties £1.50
Frozen Fish - their own brand + B'Eye, Youngs etc - half supermarket prices or less.
Dr Oetker £2.78 each or 2 for £3 & no problems using vouchers.
Loads of Quorn 2 for £3
    7.5kg sacks of potatoes £2
    Cheap fresh fruit and veg.
LOADS of one off bargains too if you take a look in the freezers

TBH I don't think there is anything we need/want so I'm trying hard to take numerous steps back. We now have enough coffee to keep us going for at least 6 months too at a great price thanks to Amazon.

I'm absolutely loving the air fryer we bought before Christmas. Have hardly used my oven since buying & food somehow tastes SO much better and takes far less time to cook in it. If we fancy chips I can make really chunky ones (hate thin chips) from potatoes (7.5kg for £2 FF) and they taste great with hardly no fat. SO much easier to clean than an oven too.

Guess I'd better take a tablet & go to bed. I didn't sleep night before last but made up for it by sleeping until 2pm today.:o:eek:

Scamps - hope you get more sleep!

  • Good morning,
Thanks to OP who pointed out the 1000 point wine code, just done 3 separate orders. Don't forget 2.1% topcashback which can then be claimed as clubcard points which also equals 4x
So for a £60 spend call it £1.20 cashback=£4.80 in deals they also top it up slightly aswell.
All in works out at almost £45 back for a £60 spend although I much prefer the £2.75 kumala bring it back:rotfl:
