Also - this is a good, interesting (or not) read: http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/659703/Advertising-of-prices/Pricing-Practices.pdf
(Interesting that that's under a heading of "business leaflets". It's not aimed at us, but at businesses and to assist them to manipulate/alter our perceptions of what we think we are getting in a manner favourable to the producer and supplier rather than ourselves/consumer. Says the cynic.)
Hi there - on one and a half hours later due to my starting to read the info. I quoted last time - after reading it, I'm wondering if I really am not susceptible to the practices mentioned in that research:eek:. So... hello everyone from the "Price Headquarters" TM and (C)SB.
Regarding the M price and whether it's "safe" to buy on APG, I don't know sorry:(. With M going online and prices being on Msm, I've fallen a bit out of touch with what's happening week by week instore and can't really tell you exactly when items did or didn't go on offer.
I had noticed some other Jordans product in the past week and put it onto one of my saved lists but not got that Jordans on Avs M - based on price per unit (and most people don't go by unit prices - source is that Office of Fair Trading report above - which is therefore precisely why we should go by them), the Fruit & Nut Muesli 750g is very high - even at M's price, it's about 33.3p/100g, way above what used to be my 20p/100g price guide which itself I now think is far too much:D. Although the 750g Fruit & Nut is a greater contribution to an APG - mainly because you are paying more in the first place - the 1kg Jordan's Natural Muesli should be better at £2.68 vs M at £2.00. Judging by the price history graph on msm, it looks like these products have only just gone on offer, so I'd say still wait until at least tomorrow night if not even later.
Yeah, here we are: Jordan's Porridge Oats 750g £1.00 A vs £1.00 T (13.3p/100g less 10%) - but may need to wait on that too as that may have just gone on offer in T.
As for Jordans Muesli or Mornflake etc. Oats, they're always beaten by SP Muesli (1kg) £1.18:eek:vs T or possibly M at £1.18 (11.8p/100g). And SP Porridge Oats 1kg keep coming out cheaper at 75p (7.5p/100g - less 10% if vs T or possibly M).
Mornflake Superfast 500g 60p at M (12p:eek:/100g). But - hang on - that 60p offer does not lead to good price per unit purchasing - Mornflake Superfast Oats 2kg Avs T are cheaper (vs T at £1.75 'soon' (8.8p/100g - still more expensive than SP Oats are after APG on SP)).0 -

With my first shop I got double points and £1 off I think was a £10 spend, plus my bm, so the second shop came to £9, not got any more to use.0 -

I am so glad I am not the only one who gets banned from going out shopping again..... :rotfl:
Happens at least once a month.
Most of the time I get a disapproving look and a shake of the head while putting my coat on but a flat out ban probably happens once a month :rotfl:Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
