I do agree with the strange taste tho, although thats mainly the cauli that soaks up the flavour of the stock.
I always seal the chicken first as it stops the scum forming, although ive never used chicken with skin on.
Try it with skin-on chicken drumsticks or thighs COT, it's amazing! The chicken is so juicy it's lovely... hungry now lol!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

Evening, I think i read on here yesterday that someone got there Cadbury eggs from stainsbobs? Am I right in thinking that it's just £20 spend for target and not certain number of items? Tia fernie0

Fairclaire, any news on the roof yet - do you know how much it is going to cost ?
Think you must be some sort of superwoman to do all you do - already fixed Greenhouse :T
Nannylala, if you are still having problems with cramps at night get some Quinine tablets, think you can buy at Chemist, I get mine on prescription. They are wonderful things and can save so much pain. Tonic water also helps as has quinine in it
Managed to get 15 jars of the Kenco 75p coffee at the weekend, thanks to OP, so just hope I like it :rotfl:
Also got 20 x 150g refill packs of Carte Noir Classic for £1.21 each. It was the wrong one, but some silly shelf filler had put it in the wrong place, by the SEL at £1.21 and Supervisor said I could have it :j
Thanks saversue re advise about night cramps ,my doctor will not prescribe the Quinine tablets for me :(so I get the crampex from the chemist but these are quite pricey and you only take them when you feel a bout of it coming on,how silly is that as you never can tell when this is going to happen and usually get it a few nights running:eek:then nothing for ages.I think Truly madly said something about not enough salt in your diet but I know that I probably if anything have too much salt. But I can sympathise with anyone who suffers with these cramp as they really quite painful.0 -
I was on the Orchard Potato trial and just received an invite for pasta to run at the same time.
I didnt think that you would do two trials at once
I assume there must be a cap on trials...although I'm doing ready meals, cheese and just accepted the pasta.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

Happy to take a gamble if someone would like to tell me what to buy.
Think it was the miracle cure aussie that compared the best.

Further details below - if anyone finds some better returns in the 3 for £10 offer, please can you post them (Aussie mentioned above?).
Many thanks
Anon:think::whistle::silenced::shhh: I confirmed a trigger in 3 for £10 beauty event ... Yes me! Mojo is back from repair :j. My hunch paid off following an Op query a few weeks ago (thanks Op!).
Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment 400ml (dark blue bottle) does not show on apg.
I bought with 2x Head and Shoulders Anti Dandruff for Men 500ml (Joe Hart on pack?)
AvM
£9.94 v £7
Pay £10 plus fillers, apg return of £3.70, net cost £6.30 for 3 big bottles (or thereabouts - not worked it out exactly!).
Other flavours available in the M offer. (M have 2 for £7 offer on Head and Shoulders, other supermarkets have 3 for £10 on the large bottles at the moment)
Okay, not the best glitch ever but for me, it is not bad and may be useful for other items in the 3 for £10 A beauty event.
Seedless red grapes are a good filler - 2 x 500g packs are £1.50 each in A, 2 for £2 M.

Yes "just" £20 lol, you could buy a £20 face cream that was £10 in A's and get a £10 BM for example...
And only branded stuff so if you get own brand Sainsbob stuff it won't compare and mess up your BM.Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be

I am deeply grateful for this. Thank you. I've been resisting the ActiFry just because I have nowhere to put it. But I can find a home for this beastie... In case anyone else is looking, it's 29 cms x 26cms x 20 cms (deep). Now to decide if I go for a white or a black one. Any advice, please, Squigs? Is it easy to keep clean?
Thank you.
Black, easier to keep clean.:)
Most times I just need to wipe the basket and the tray with a piece of kitchen roll to clean it, but both can go in the dishwasher.
A dream compared to cleaning out deep fat fryers.:DN1LDA:D0
