Okay guys, got my slow cooker out, and unboxed, only taken me a few days!!!!

I have chicken, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, can I chuck all these veg in, should I put veg in first then chicken on top, and it will all cook lovely, somehow really scared of using it.

I wouldn't put the cauli & broccoli in, they may go too mushy.:)

bubbs, I also have machine out since last night. Did lots of make-do's then, today starting on another quilt (I make patchwork), even though I haven't finished off the last one yet.

They are a real labour of love because I have carpal tunnel in hands, some bu**er has STOLEN a lap one from nursery that I made for my gs3 arrrhhhhh

Love patchwork your one further down, is lovely. A few of us on here are suffering with carpal tunnel, pain in the bum it is.
I coat the inside with oil on kitchen towel first then as you stated put in the veg and the chicken on top. Don't forget your stock i fill mine up so that the veg is allmost covered. hth ;)

Great thankyou, just panicking a bit using it, dont fancy it being on all day, then going to eat it, and it turning out not cooked or veg soggy.

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Fairclaire, any news on the roof yet - do you know how much it is going to cost ?
Think you must be some sort of superwoman to do all you do - already fixed Greenhouse :T

Nannylala, if you are still having problems with cramps at night get some Quinine tablets, think you can buy at Chemist, I get mine on prescription. They are wonderful things and can save so much pain. Tonic water also helps as has quinine in it ;)

Managed to get 15 jars of the Kenco 75p coffee at the weekend, thanks to OP, so just hope I like it :rotfl:

Also got 20 x 150g refill packs of Carte Noir Classic for £1.21 each. It was the wrong one, but some silly shelf filler had put it in the wrong place, by the SEL at £1.21 and Supervisor said I could have it :j

No, but Ive got the go ahead to get quotes from the insurance company. What a very nice man he was! I don't know why I'm surprised? I've not claimed on house insurance before and I was expecting someone who was going to argue with me :o
He was fine that I'd cleaned up and sorted the greenhouses out, all the broken glass and mangled bits were there for him to see.
The roof people can finally get to me tomorrow so I'll know what the damage is then. All the roofing companies have been inundated and are still being hampered by the rain....so it's just a matter of being patient.
the greenhouses didn't take long to patch up. It's just putting glass in with clips. I'll seal all the panes in properly when I get more time. Thanks for asking :)
