Good morning catching up with a cuppy

No stovies with leftover roast or stewed steak I remember we always had stovies on Monday as my granny would come down to ours with the ends of a roast for mum to make stovies Those who make it with cornbeef are making Cornbeef Hash

Cornbeef hash as a child ....loved it

But a Mondays meal left over from sunday

was referred to as fry up

only because it was warmed up in the frying pan

no micro waves in them days

and my dad used to like bacon and egg

then fry the tinned tomato in the the bacon juice

so unhealthy but tasted so nice

    Afternoon elite

Hoping to catch up on the last few days now, hope the housey damage is not too bad from all the wind

Speaking of wind, me and dh were musing last night about the way prosecco and other fizzy wine has been painted as the perfect valentine's drink...there must have been couples all round the country last night belching into one another's faces - how romantic (don't tell me it doesn't have that effect on you) :o:p

I have managed to catch up... with a bit of speed reading!.

Love Calmspirits trip to the gym! and giving special hugs to all those experiencing damage to their properties, I do love the way FC hubby helped to resolve this by suggesting a shopping trip! But I am shaking with shock by Zippy's comments in relation to English language! Now when I think of Zippy I will no longer imagine him laid in a neighbours garden drunk... it is as an English Professor! I am traumatised!!!

:eek: not my comments. cut and paste comments :D

They're probably mass-stocking burgers now too, once the glitch finishes, there'll be loads on the whoopsie sections :D

TM I hope you have popped a teaspoon in the bottle top, it keeps opened bottles fizzy. :D

Because I am such a light weight I have to use this old wives tale but it does work. ;)

Googling it seems it is meant to be a silver spoon. But I have never used one. :rotfl:

Yes same here....teaspoon in the top of the bottle :D Works a treat.
