I was thinking about your predicament about the few bottles of lef...lefram...German crap wine that you got. I remember Queen of Cheap saying when we were all getting Soda streams, that she was going to try getting busy with the fizzy. May be worth asking her what it tastes like, as its meant to make rather a good fizz
I re-fizzed an open bottle of prosecco on Christmas Day. It was ok but I'd done 2 bottles of champagne by that time so probably not the best way to trynot done the flat wine yet but I will

Lidl- microwave sachets of rice for 24p- I got plain, basmati and egg fried rice ones, they had pilau too but they were all in the basket of the dude in front of me
The choc bars are their own versions of Milky Way and mars. So we got the children into bed, had a nice meal cooked by DH (though rather garlicky), a bottle of fizz (made for a gorgeous combo ) then I promptly fell asleep on him in front of the telly :rotfl: Romance certainly isn't dead
Sounds like a perfect evening to me“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Actually does that mean that the ultimate ELITE valentines meal was burgers, mash and a bottle of fizz!
And it wasnt a case of gazing lovingly at your partners eyes but lovingly at the PP the meal generated and dreaming of how to spend it....
romance isnt dead its for the ELITE!
more suggestions welcome....
Sounds like a cracking combo to meDoesn't have that effect on me. But the bubbles do seem to have an effect the other end. I know TMI.
:rotfl: I'm not sure which end is less romanticMy local Ts have mass stocked the Golden balls big time.
Think maybe me, Dodo and Truffle Hunter might have had something to do with that. We definitely hit triple figures between us.

Just collected my C & C shop & have 2 bags that are not mine. Was going to ring but OH says do not bother. Can't decide. Not may items but pack nappies (no use) & couple bottles of wine. Decisions. If I ring them will they ask me to take them back or just keep them?
Depends on your morals and wether you need wine or nappies.
If it was me I would rind them and at least one bag would be going back if the van man would collect it
If they say keep it then you can always put the nappies in the foodbank collection - my local one was asking for nappies this week.

Forgot to mention that I made bread and butter pudding for dessert last night.....with a difference. Meant to take a pic but forgot:o
Buttered bread and cot into triangles, chopped a couple of bananas and placed between triangles in a shallow dish. Mixed together a little pot of cream, 3 eggs, some milk and sugar and a great big glug of Baileys. Sprinkled with brown sugar and stuck in the oven for a while:)
Seriously gorgeous:)To do is to be. Rousseau
