    The boxes aren't connected to the mains direct, a regulated PSU is used.
    So whilst a faulty mains could cause the box to reboot, it won't damage it.

    When they replaced the boxes did the also replace the PSU or just use the same one?
    Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
  • The very helpful VM engineer came yesterday and changed the box as well as the power supply. I was also using an extension lead so he changed it to the mains.That's the first time they changed the power supply, so fingers crossed that fixes it!!!
