Would an unfurnished property generally come with a cooker?

Hi,
We were initially planning on letting the house entirely unfurnished, and would also prefer to not have to fit a cooker either... however, we've just been told that you don't actually have to have them PAT tested each year and our potential tenants have just enquired about whether or nor we're going to fit one.
Is it worthwhile do you think? Will we struggle to let the house without a cooker fitted?
Thanks

When we have rented unfurnished properties (4 in total over the years) - they all came with cooker white goods - fridge/freezer and washing machine.0

I would absolutely expect a cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine as standard.0
-
There are no hard and fast rules, but there is an expectation that white goods are provided.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

We rent unfinished and didn't get supplied with a fridge/freezer or washing machine but there was a built in hob and oven. It would be unusual not to have a cooker in.the kitchen unless it's a free standing one I guess.0

Thanks both, so far I've not really advertised it other than the bulletin board at work and we've had four people interested, all of which are happy to bring their own washing machine, fridge/feezer etc but the people who viewed the property today (and want it) said they would prefer a cooker if possible, so I think even though it'll be a pain in terms of maintenance etc plus an extra cost, we should probably fit one then.0

How much maintenance do you expect an oven to have?
Cleaning should be done by the tenants prior to leaving as they should return it in the same condition they received it less wear and tear.
Having an oven cleaned isn't a hardship either as a LL - call in the oven cleaning people and they will make it look like new!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
One place me and my ex rented had the oven and a crappy f/f. Had to buy our own washer.
We had to persuade the LL to get a new f/f as food was getting mouldy 3 days before the UB date. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I wouldn't rent a house without a cooker.
I have bought a washing machine and a fridge freezer for a rented house before but it did put me off (there was just nothing else available at the time and we needed a house fast).
Tenants don't tend to want to lug white goods from house to house when they move. there are exceptions of course.0 -
I wouldn't rent anywhere with no oven... but I've never rented anywhere where other white goods are included. Always had our own fridge etc0

Personally I wouldn't use a second hand fridge freezer or cooker. I'd rather supply my own and when I used to rent either the white goods were brand new or I supplied my own. Just my personal preference. An opinion is just that..... An opinion0
