I am no big fan of Barclays - they are about the only bank I have no accounts with because I found their advisers nauseating - but it is quite ridiculous to say "nobody should be banking with these people".

Pleased to hear you have got some attention now by a senior person - at least that should ensure that you will hear one way or the other before long.
