no they wont be offended if you ring up.
being on ESA, you would automatically see a disability advisor, but as income support isnt exclusive to people with disabilite/illness then there is a possibility that you arent. it makes total se4nse to check with them0 -

OP - haven't you been switched to ESA yet?
Yes they are now much keener given that the WP providers want more numbers on their books.0 -

You will probably still have to attend (take someone to support you if needed) but it will give them a 'heads up' that you need to see a Disability Support advisor (I think that is what they are called) and make them aware of your medical problems.
.....and they will take notice I suppose?0 -
only if they ask you to particiapte in something

i went 14 months between WFI's and was never asked to do anything ( in fact they told me that there was nothing they could offer)0 -

Your advisor seems good. At my last visit I was told that my case would be sent to the decision maker re possible sanction if I didn't either do some training but no advice as to how this was possible other than look up the web-site of the local college!Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Yes, they will take notice.
Why do you always tell people they may get sanctioned?
The OP is obviously severely disabled, and the JCP and the DEA will be able to see that.....:wall:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Maybe if you read of the experience of a well versed poster - post 19, you will note that they actually do sanction you if you don't comply or appear not to comply with any directive.
To just assume that because you may be disabled that the DWP will be your best buddy is taking things too far.
As for the JCP seeing that someone is disabled and should have more help, is like reading a fairy story. I, because of poor advice back in January 2010 signed on for JSA after having been told that the September 2009 claim for ESA had failed.
At my appointment I was told that I had to set up a meeting with a specific agency with a view of looking for work ( having a job already, but off sick didn't seem to feature in the case).
All of this changed when I produced a current sick note and told the advisor that I also received DLA - HRM & MRC as well as IIDB at the 40% rate. My JSA claim was cancelled and was told to claim ESA???????? uummmm0
