How to stop energy compay scam phone calls?

I've barely just registered my new company and am getting several calls a week on my mobile (not associated yet with the company so how they got the info is odd). I have asked them to remove my info from their records and they pretend they will. Some are polite, some are horrible.
They used millions of different numbers, eg just now was 01925 563 006. I have put each one I've received on my call rejection list. I have reported them to ofcom. All to now avail.
Has anyone successfully got rid of them?
Could I threaten legal action (would I take legal action, I don't think so). I've heard of people making noises down phone, using a whistle etc etc. But they are horribly and bizarely persistent.

All I do is add them to the blocked list on my phone and try to sell them a used car every time they call, it appears I get myself blacklisted as the calls stop.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I get about 5 -6 of them a day... In the end I said the person they needed to speak to died the day before, and they turned round and asked when would be the best time to phone back and speak to them.....lol...
I just tell them to 'F' off and I will report them for aggressive sales behaviour they then stopped....
Or just hang up on them, the problem is, its just not one company its several...Work to live= not live to work0 -
We had that problem when we took over a couple of shops. Over the following weeks we had 100s, even though we sorted our energy supplier pretty quickly. One was given my mobile number by the shop manager. Spoke to me told them it was sorted they promptly phoned the shop back and said id told them to give them the metre readings cheeky bar stewards. The futures bright the future is Ginger0

Last junk call I got, I was playing some music; I told them I couldn't hear them for the music.0
