Hehehe, would let on but do a lot online and already think I might know who someone on here is in RL (I take online bookings locally so hear from a lot of people and this mse-er seems to use the same e mail as username.). Moral dilemma, do I tell an mse-r I recognise their online name. I've met mse-famil and OH and they are truly lovely ppl. And will have no idea mse- er posts here. They will equally have no idea I'm here. I look quite rich, but I have debt no one else sees.
This is bugging me so views appreciated

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who ponders user names. Sometimes I don't see the obvious though e.g seanymph is obviously a marine creature to all but me who grew up where a number of people were called seany. I had assumed that the mph related to a speed fiend called Sean!

  • Dansmam, I also recognise someone from RL. They are posting stuff here that they have never told me so I have to respect their right to anonymity. I do wonder if they have recognised me.

  • Letter from M @ S today. They have agreed to reduce payment and don't want another review till 2016! So that's three down. Just N@wide now and T@sco are getting a letter to say the others have agreed and home maintenance is allowed in the official expenses statement, so the reduced payments will be happening. A reduction of £73 per month so far. It will make all the difference to the second half of the month. £27 per month saved on the gas and electric too will go towards a more harmonious end to the month.

I've been thinking about how debt mountain got so big. If I hadn't consolidated with new loans three times, remortgaged twice and took out mortgage overpayments to pay off debts in the past before getting into a false sense of security and running the credit cards up again I would be in a much better position than I am today. Consolidating loans and debts does not work. Anyone considering doing it DON'T.
Anyway, I'm looking forward now. Here's to sticking to a budget! Almost a year down the line since I started. A couple of hiccups, but now I know I can do it.

    Hi HB,

I'm with you on the DON'T consolidate route.. unfortunately as you say it seems a good 'escape' route at the time... I did it twice and never learnt.. but your never to old to change your ways and that's what we are doing now.. with all our fantastic debt busting and budgetting.

Sorry your plans for a reduced week didn't come to anything just yet, but 2 years isn't long and the debt mountains will be much smaller then..!

I'm glad you have revised your budget and have given yourself a little wriggle room for the year ahead..

    Take Care.
