can't open Internet Explorer

You could try reinstalling Internet Explorer over the top of itself.
32 bit: http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/2/F/92FC119C-3BCD-476C-B425-038A39625558/IE11-Windows6.1-x86-en-us.exe
64 bit: http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/1/7/7179A150-F2D2-4502-9D70-4B59EA148EAA/IE11-Windows6.1-x64-en-us.exe
Make sure you download the version which matches which version of Windows you have installed.0 -
Hi I had the same problem over the last few days on several different laptops. For some reason it was to do with a DNS error. I am not a techie but this is how I solved it for Windows 7:-
Right click on the connection icon and click on ''Open Network And Sharing Centre''
On the left hand side of the window that opens, click on ''Manage wireless networks''
On the next pop up window on the blue horizontal bar, click on ''Adapter Properties'
A pop up screen appears. Click ''yes''
On the networking tab, click on ''Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) so that it becomes highlighted.
Click on properties
Another pop up window appears and check the ''Obtain DNS server address automatically'' box. My laptops had changed to ''Use the following DNS server..
As soon as I changed to obtain automatically, everything worked again.
