Haven't been posting for the last few weeks and things have been a bit hectic with DD1 and DGD here and both are very fussy eaters which made things much more difficult and more expensive!

My week started yesterday:

S - roast duck breast, roast potatoes, cabbage
M - egg, mushrooms, beans, bubble and squeak
T - prawn stirfy & noodles
W - Big Mac in a bowl (Slimming World recipe)
T - Jacket pot with tuna mayo (if I've got a couple of big pots left!) or Tuna pasta if not
F - Steak, chips, onions, garlic mushrooms
S - La potee (a stew previously frozen using a pack from Lidl France bought back from holiday in September!) Wish they sold them here in the UK. May need to add some chickpeas to it (will check once defrosted). Will serve with mashed potatoes and a green veg.

Big mac in a bowl has me intrigued, would you mind posting the recipe? :)

Funnily enough I thought someone might ask for the recipe for the Big Mac in a Bowl! Here it is:

BIG MAC IN A BOWL
Extra lean mince
Onion
Gherkins
Low fat cheese
Fat free thousand island dressing
Lettuce

Fry your mince and onions together.
Shred lettuce and place in bowl.
Add your mince and onions
Your chopped gherkins
40g low fat cheese
2 tblsp of low fat dressing and mix.
ENJOY

No need to buy Thousand Island dressing if you haven't got it, just mix some tomato ketchup with some mayo until it turns pink and looks a bit like it:money:.

• Running late this week... We were flat out over the weekend, lucky I have a 4 week meal plan, so everything kept going dispite being busy :)

Sun - Pork Shoulder and Potato Dophinouse with carrots
Mon - SC Beef Tikka Masala with Rice
Tue - Cajan Fried Pork and Potatoes served with Veg (LO Pork)
Wed - LO Beef Tikka Masala with Rice
Thu - Chicken & Chrizio Jambablaya (LO Chicken)
Fri - HM Pizza, Wedges and Garlic Bread
Sat - @ in-laws
Sun - HM Goujions with HM Tzaziki, Salsa, Chips and Corn on the Cob

I got a new Slow Cooker (6,5 litres) and decided to utilise it much better then my last one, so I've learned to make rice pudding in it, and today I'm making a beef curry in it :)

I also got a new steamer (smaller them my old one so easier to get out and use!) we had carrots yesterday, and I realised how much nicer they were. My old steamer had a boost button which never turned off, so all veg was mush!!!!

Going to try steaming rice today, takes 45 minutes... Hope it's worth it :)

PS. Not only does McDolands in a bowl sound nice... But I think we all really need a photo ;)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Haven't actually tried it yet! It's a new recipe for me. I'm a bit of a technophobe and have no idea how to post a picture anyway.

Hopefully Soworried can manage it!

Ok so curry in the slow cooker was the best curry I've ever had! I used to hate my slow cooker, but I'm now converted... I don't think my old one cooked the meat this well though :)

Steaming rice is definitely worth it! I set it up this morning, and turned it on 45 minutes before dinner.

So all I had to do was go in the kitchen at 5pm and serve up!
