electoral roll change - how long to show up?

Hi
Lots of useful answers to be gleaned at MSE - hopefully people may know the answers to my question.
I'm in the Borough of Islington, London. Currently I show up on the electoral roll ok (so this is on my credit report). However, having duly informed the council, I won't be on it for the Feb 17th listing.
How long will this take to show at the credit reference agencies (CRA's)? (Experian, Equifax, CallCredit.)
I'm thinking of making a new card application, but obviously it would be better to do so before I show up on the electoral roll as moving out - ie, it'd be better to apply for a new card before my not being on the electoral roll shows up at Experian, Equifax etc.
Will it take more than a month to show up at the CRA's? Am v busy so things do get complicated for me in the immediate upcoming period. Is a month-plus about people's typical experience, or longer than that - 6 weeks...2 months? hard to believe it would only take a couple of weeks for the change to show but then...
thanks in advance

The data isn't live. Only when the CRA update the list will you show as not bring there as a voter - but it will not delete your old data, which will still show until they find your new address and link you to it.0

Well, this is my question: when will the CRA update their records about me... will it take a month (typically) for them to do this, or 6 weeks to 2 months (standard experience)...or just a couple of weeks?
I'm in London thus posting the name of the borough; though I appreciate there may be no-one with specific knowledge of how the place affects things.
I've heard it can take a long while for the CRA's to update someone's info, you see...I've heard that they can be useless about this. But how long is the typical time, is the question that is relevant to me...

I have found that experian is very good with this, and it always seems up to date, however on some others i've had to email them a copy of a letter as proof to get it updated.0

I too would like to know about this as i registered with my new address 5 months ago but still not showing on experian0

Myself and OH are in same postion - Local Authority had our forms 25th October 2013, the cut off date was 1st Oct 2013 and they dont now update untol 17th Feb!!! Our mortgage has been referred to underwriting due to this but we got letters from our Local Authority stating the above. I have been told it can take around a month for the credit agencys to update their records - Experian told me that have to do this for everybody so it can be delayed...0

I am also in the same position, frustrating isn't it? I applied in October under the impression that they would send the data and it would be live in December.
I actually thought when it wasn't updated that they may have lost my form. I contacted the local office to find they had my form and they do not submit the information until the 17th February. I asked when it would update and they said it would take a week or two.
Frustrating for me as I have been waiting to apply for credit but will be refused without a doubt until it's updated, wont guarantee an acceptance but I'm pretty sure it will help!0 -
Hi all,
Just to clarify how the electoral register is updated on your Experian credit report.
If you registered after 18th October in England and 18th November in Scotland and Wales, this information will be included in the Annual Canvass.
Information on the Annual Canvas will be updated once the records are published by the relevant local authority and will be complete by 1st April 2014.
Once the Annual Canvas is complete local authorities will go back to using a rolling electoral register, which they update and publish once a month. We then update these on your report when we recieve them.
You can find more information about registering to vote at: www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

So we may have to wait until 1st April 2014?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0

The thing is that it wouldn't be fair to turn somebody down for a mortgage because of this - if you sent the forms back you cannot be expected to wait that long before being able to apply . I would have thought a letter from the Local Authority that confirms when you sent the forms back would be good enough? Our MA seemed to think so!0

I got a mortgage while not being on the electoral register at my current address. They could see I was on it at my previous address and that was fine for Natwest.0
